This will be the first meeting since last seasons 7 game World Series, a nice revenge spot for Los Angeles with Alex Wood on the mound. Wood gave up 1 run over 7 2/3 innings against Houston during the World Series and is coming off of a nice outing in his previous game where he gave up only one hit with no runs allowed.
The Dodgers have been dominant going 17-4 in their past 21 series openers.
Coming off of an impressive 21 run performance, it will be interesting to see if the Dodgers bats can continue where they left off.
Houston's pitcher Justin Verlander has only 1 win in his past 8 appearances, he is not exactly in World Series form these days.
Houston has struggled on the road vs the Dodgers, winning only 3 of the past 11 meetings, the last one being game 7 of the World Series. The trend is your friend tonight I believe.
