The week 9 game of the English premier league will see Manchester United hosting league leader Liverpool at Old Trafford and it is really going to be a match to watch as Manchester united will be coming into the game as underdog while Liverpool who are yet to lose a game in the league this season have all it takes to win the game at Old Trafford and that is if history will not repeat itself again because Liverpool Manager is yet to get a win in all of his visitation to Manchester United and it seems this is the right time for him to get it considering the current form of Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer will yet be facing another big test over his future with the club has there has been some agitation recently over a possible replacement at Old Trafford and if the game result on Sunday did not favour the host, then they may be sitting in the relegation zone which may actually bring about some harsh decision from the board while a win for the visitors will go along way in guarantee their success in the league this season. It will really be an interesting game between a free scoring Liverpool side and a United team that doesn't look sharp enough in front of goal.

Should Liverpool win the game on Sunday, then United record in the league for the past 30 years will be put to question again after moving from bad to what seems to be worst in their last game against Newcastle United that ended 1-0 in favour of Newcastle but this may just be their time to rise up again because if the could be able to secure the maximum points against the league leader, then that will be a major boost for the whole team. United has only managed a win in their last five games and that was against a lower division side Rochdale that was decides through a penalty shootout. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will hope his side took the advantage tomorrow when both sides meet.

Manchester United

Things is not really working at the club presently and it looks like the players have lose their confidence with the way the play and aside from that, Ole Solskjaer will also be facing another problem in his team selection against a free scoring side tomorrow because the international break was not really friendly with him as David De Gea became the latest player on the injury list with a groin injury while Paul Pogba is also battling with an ankle injury and his not expected to be back to the team until next week. Manchester United is 15 points behind the league leader and occupying the 12 position with just 2 points ahead of the relegation zone. Some players are also doubtful for the game due to match fitness and will have to face the last match test if at all they are going to make it in the line up. Martial is expected to start the game tomorrow after just coming back from a knee injury.

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp side remain the team to beat in the league this season with their performance in every game, they remain the only club in the league that is yet to lose or draw any match. They are still maintaining their 100% performance winning all of their 8 league matches since the beginning of the season. They don't really have much players to injury as they may likely welcome their first choice goal keeper Alisson back to the line up against united but Salah still remain a doubt for the game and will have to undergo final assessment before the manager will decide if he is going to play tomorrow, Matip and Shaqiri also remain doubtful for the game while Clyne is still out to a knee injury and his not expected to be back until January. The manager will be looking forward to equal Manchester City winning record of all- time English top-flight winning record of 18 wins if they win the game tomorrow and Jurgen Klopp will be having a full list to select from.

Possible Line Up

  • Manchester United

Romero, Maguire, Young, Dalot, Tuanzebe, Mata, Pereira, Fred, James, McTominay, Rashford

  • Liverpool

Alisson, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Firmino, Mane, Salah.

Prediction

Just like i have said earlier that Liverpool has all it takes to get the maximum points tomorrow at Old Trafford, it will also be a little bit hard to rule out Manchester United out of the game because it is always different between two top clubs when facing each other and looking at Liverpool this season, the team has gotten some narrow wins both in the league and in the champions league. They were lucky to get a win against RB Salzburg in a game that ended 4-3 and against Leicester City as well which means it may not really be difficult for United to score against them but everything depend on how Ole Solskjaer approach the game tomorrow.

My Tip

Manchester United 1 Vs 2 Liverpool
