It was a bit of a tricky fixture for the reds and the fans because they know how dangerous Bournemouth can be at home, but the final outcome became a very comfortable win for the reds. The win means that Liverpool are now top after Man City loss against Chelsea.

Post-Match Analyses

On paper, Liverpool were expected to come out with the 3 points which they did perfectly. They still maintain their unbeaten run in the league and are showing no signs of losing anytime soon.

In the past, this fixture could have gone either way or become a game of frustration for the reds fans because of the compact structure and defensive organization of the Bournemouth team, but today, it was different, as the home team decided to give lots of spaces for the reds to exploit which turned out to be a comfortable win for the reds.

Bournemouth lined up for this match in a flat 4-4-2 formation, while Liverpool lined up in their usual formation with Salah and Firmino as the two strikers.

The home team started very well and tried to make the game a bit difficult for the reds earlier in the first half, but immediately found themselves on the back foot early in the first half.

The reds on the other hand, had their plans and were waiting for the right moment to take control over the game which they did for most part of the match. The played with intensity and hunger and got their reward early in the game. They kept on playing their football, high pressing and capitalizing on any mistake and immediately ran out 4 nil winners.

Liverpool First Goal

The first goal came at the 25th minute in the first half. A low shot on target was played and it got parried out by the goalkeeper only for the ball to fall to the path of Salah who just needed to tap the ball into the net to open the scoring for the day.

Liverpool Second Goal

The second goal came just 3 minutes into the start of the second half and a well-deserved one. Salah who was the first goal scorer was running at the defense with the ball at his feet, due to his ability on the ball, he was able to dribble past the defenders and got his shot away which found the bottom right corner to increase their lead. 2 nil to Liverpool.

Liverpool Third Goal

This goal came in the 68th minute through an own goal by one of the Bournemouth defenders. A low first-time cross was played into the box but was unfortunately put into their own net by Cook.

Liverpool Fourth Goal

Salah scored the final goal of the match and as well a hat trick for him to crown his top performance in the game. Salah found himself one-on-one with the goal keeper, he superbly dummied the goalkeeper, and still managed to put the ball into the net, not minding the defenders in front of him. What a way to score a hat trick and cap an amazing performance.

My Observation

Liverpool Are Getting Stronger And Stronger:

This match showed that the reds are getting better and better and are currently not looking like a team to lose anytime soon, at least against the mid-table teams.

Liverpool Are Not Messing Around This Season:

It is no longer a news that the reds mean business this season and are not taking any fixture that comes their way lightly. The determination and hunger to gain points in every game they have played so far has been the reason for their progress.

Liverpool Are Ready To Take Any Opportunity That Comes Their Way:

Their major aim this season is to win the EPL title and are fully ready to grab any opportunity to go top of the league which they did.

Liverpool Still Remain The Only Unbeaten Team In The League:

Their victory earlier today has seen them go 1 point above Mancity who just lost 2-0 to the blues. It was a moment all the reds supporters have been patiently waiting for and it finally came.

The Mancity loss today means that the reds are now the only premier league team yet to taste defeat at this stage of the season.

And that is a wrap…

What do you think… Do you think Liverpool can go all the way?

I would love to read your own opinions… Enjoy your day.
