This is the final week before the winter break which signals the halfway point of the 2018-2019 Season. My form has been quite poor and I'm looking forward to the winter break to refresh my overall focus. I will keep notes very basic this week with both bets and stakes limited.
Cercle Brugge vs Eupen
Cercle Brugge played aa poor match away against AA Gent and still miss Lambot and Taravel in the defense. Hazard who was a revelation some matches ago is also injured. Eupen is nothing special and also lost last week without a chance at home against Genk. Both are very close in the standings and rather look down instead of up. I would not be surprised if both could live with a draw in this match going into the winter break without a loss and in a stable position in the standings. I think it's worth a small stake on the Draw @ 3.62 which is what I took in this match.
Kortrijk vs Zulte-Waregem
Kortrijk again played a very defensive style under new coach Vanderhaege playing 0-0 against a poor Stvv. Zulte-Waregem played a great offensive minded match against Charleroi winning 3-1. I see Kortrijk as overrated and Zulte-Waregem potentially underrated (but also unreliable in their performance). I can't look past the handicap line which gives a full win for the draw in a match where it would also not be a surprise to me to see and away victory. I took an early bet on Zulte-Waregem +0.5 @ 1.930
Oostende vs Sint-Truiden
Oostende has been extremely poor last couple weeks but they played against top sides in each of those matches. They are traditionally bad in this kind of matches. Stvv has been somewhat unreliable. They have a better team compared to Oostende but are also the away favorite on the betting market in this one and it's still very much a question if they will show up. Oostende are on my teams to fade list while Sint-Truiden are on my list of teams to back if they have a good day. I will be waiting this one out live to see how it all plays out. If Oostende takes the lead I will likely oppose them right after. No Pre-game Bets
Antwerp vs Moeskroen
Antwerp played a poor match against Club Brugge and lost deserved with a 5-1 score conceding plenty of goals. Moeskroen won against a very poor Anderlecht and have been playing ok lately. I'm not willing to back Antwerp who lost their last 2 matches as a big favorite unless there is some live confirmation. The same goes for Moeskroen so I will be waiting this one out live keeping all betting options open. Home, away, over or under are all options. No Pre-Game Bets
Charleroi vs Standard
Charleroi since adopting their more defensive style again has produced better results and are 5w-0L in their last 5 home games facing some good opponents. They did not really play convincing in all these matches and similar to last season are one of those teams that often play poorly still ending up with a late win. Standard has been very unreliable this season mixing up good with bad performances. They have played good in both their last 2 matches but against rather poor opponents. I took a tiny bet early on Standard +0 @ 1.934 early when the odds were released but need to see more in order to bet extra.
Racing Genk vs AA Gent
AA Gent probably played their best match of the season last week against Cercle Brugge finding the goal multiple times. Genk Still are playing good but are digging deeper into their reserves after playing a huge amount of matches this year already. If anything can be guaranteed is that they will create chances and also are vulnerable in defense at times. I would not be surprised to see goals in this match from both teams. I took small positions on Over 3 @ 2.05 and the AA Gent Team Total Over 1 @ 2.20. I do look forward to this match and do expect more live action.
