These are exciting times for Chelsea football club.

They look a completely different side from the one that finished the league at sixth position last season.

This is due to the influence of new manager,Maurizio sarri.

He has had the whole team playing the sarriball brand......fluid,free flowing,ball possessing football,and the players have adapted so quickly to it,with room for more improvement.

Eden hazard has always been an elite football player,the complete show man at the bridge,though not yet becoming the player fans believe he could be.

Last season he wasn't at his best,his ex manager Antonio Conte was not keen with giving free roles to players-not with one with Eden's qualities either, everyone was tasked with defensive duties,this curtailed his predatory instincts and pushing forward,which in turn reduced his self confidence.

At the world cup,head coach Roberto Martinez,allowed him and the likes of Kevin de bruyne to stay on the other half of opposing teams,absorbed from defensive duties,fully focused on attack.

This system brought benefits to hazard and the Belgium side as he performed better and full of confidence.

This season though have seen hazard in scintillating form,all rumours of transfer to Real Madrid have been quietened as he continues thrilling the Stamford bridge crowd.

He now has a coach who is big on granting free roles to players of his qualities and possession based football,a coach which it seems is made for him-whose philosophy is getting the best out of the diminutive man.

Eden is relishing that role,taking the lead as a true focal point of the team.

Liverpool and Manchester city at the beginning of the season looked the most fierce of the premier league trophy contenders, however,it is now a serious three horse race,with Chelsea in the mix.

While it will be a grave mistake to rule out Manchester city,they are not the force that took the premier league by storm last season anymore,some of their bite is gone.

Chelsea seems more hungry and with hazard championing their cause,with seven goals added to his name this season already in the premier league from eight games,and his last effort coming on his last outing against Southampton, opposing teams and fans should be worried.

He may not score week in week out as it is quite possible for a dip in form from him as the season continues and many games played could tire him out but he puts fear into teams and defenses.

The entire team though,have not been that good in front of goals,as morata and giroud the main strikers in the team have been goal shy.....the both pair have only managed two goals in the league and after eight games,this is not good enough for a side aspiring to win the premier league.

Morata's latest addition also came from the Southampton game after a few miss which have come to characterize his game.

Teams are beginning to understand that to stop Chelsea they need to cage hazard and the days will come when they will succeed at doing just that,and when it happens with the current run of form from the main attackers,Chelsea will be exposed bereft of ideas,unless the strikers and entire team starts scoring again.

Hazard is good,this season he is arguably the best so far across Europe,but he cannot do it alone.

When giroud or morata,willian and Pedro come to the party it will really be an exciting time at the bridge.

This is looking like a season for the west London side.
