It is no more news to everyone that the transfer market has been inflated and clubs now continues to go for players at higher prices which they couldn't have afforded before and you begin to wonder why they really have to splash that huge amount of money on the a player.

Every season, the transfer market is always open for players to join their dream clubs and even for clubs to strengthen their team, then negotiations always go on and on until agreement is reached between both parties but many at times, some clubs may show interest in one player and at the end of the window, they may end up not signing the player due to high price tag placed on such players.

Gone are those days when club will buy a player at the price of £2m and the player will be expected to deliver for the club which in most cases he will do but you begin to wonder now the kind of player you can see at that rate not even a goalkeeper, the market has been inflated and why is it like that? Even clubs that used to economize their spending before are now fully aware of the fact that for them to compete with other clubs in various competition, they really need to spend high.

Some days ago, i was reading some of Cristiano Ronaldo interview and he made mention of something that is closely related to the transfer market and how some clubs now placed high price tag on their players and why some clubs will never mind in going such player at that price, the Portuguese star who joins Real Madrid in 2008 on a world record transfer has witnessed so many players beating that record with the likes of Neymar joining PSG on a transfer fee worth of £222m and many others. Ronaldo himself would have cost Real Madrid more than the amount PSG bought Neymar if he is still around 25 or 26 years of age by now.

The competition now is so high and every clubs just want to make sure they have the best set of players in their team with some good depth and that alone has led to the inflation in the transfer market and again with some clubs in China coming to Europe to get some players to their league, we all know how these clubs splashes money on players just to get them at all cost.

Player like Tevez, Oscar and many others some years back moves to China's league all in the name of big money and not because they are the best among millions of players across the globe, in fact, they are no where to be found as far as FIFA best 3 is concern and recently Bale also would have join the league before the deal was terminated.

No matter how worst a player is performing these days, the least amount you could get him will be around £30m and if you really want to get quality players that can assuredly get you some silver wear at the end of the season, then you will be talking about price from £70m downward. Not even when goalkeepers alone are around that price with the likes of Alisson and Kepa costing Liverpool and Chelsea such amount of money.

What do you think is the reason why the market is inflated?
