James Balota, president of Roma, expressed his anger over the recently signed deal by Barcelona's Malcolm after he was a step from wearing the Italian team's shirt.

"Yesterday Barcelona apologized for Malcolm's operation, but I do not accept the Catalan team's apology until they sell Lionel Messi to us," Balota said in comments broadcasted by Sky Sports.

"Barcelona's intervention was immoral in Malcolm's deal. We had an agreement with Bordeaux and we have the legal evidence, and the French club has to explain that."

"If it is true that his agent is the one who completed the deal, he is just a flawed person," he said.

The Brazilian moved to Barcelona from Bordeaux for 42 million euros in a five-year contract.
