Djed Spence

"Djed Spence to Tottenham here we go!" tweeted Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Right wing back from Middlesboro on loan in Nottingham Forest last season will become new member of Spurs squad! According to reliable sources agreed fee is 12 million.

Daniel Levy lead those long negotiations for 24 years old and 1.84 m high player. Negotiations went through advanced, more advanced, advance advanced, super advanced, progressing... states but final fee is more than good for Tottenham. His transfermarkt value is 8 million, Boro wanted much more maybe even 24, but daniel made it happen for 12 million pounds which can climb to 20 million in add-ons. Very good business and price if you ask me. Well done Daniel!

Antonio Conte got reinforcement he wanted on right wing back position. Maybe one week later than he wanted, but he's here! I didn't watch this player many times last season, but game in which I noticed him was against Arsenal in FA cup when Nottingham progressed in next round. I saw his you tube promotional video and I think he's decent player. He didn't play in Premier League so far, but in two games in FA cup against EPL clubs he looked good.

Arsenal player Martinelli said he's the toughest opponent he played against...

#Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli on the best individual opponent he’s ever faced: “Djed Spence, who I played against in the FA Cup. He is very strong, good on the ball, calm & quick. I was surprised; he is a really good player.” [

Nottingham Forest fans are saying this about him:

Spurs fans: you're getting a hell of a talent/athlete in Djed Spence.
One of the best loan signings I've ever seen at Forest (maybe *the* best). He's rapid. He's fun and he'll get you off your feet. Needs a bit of guidance, might make a few mistakes, but enjoy him

The most of fans are excited about this transfer and one of my favorite twitter accounts SpursSongSheet already have song about new lad:

Welcome to Tottenham my man, welcome to Champions League. COYS!

According to twitter we're not finished yet, we want creative midfielder and one more central back like Maddison and Pau Torres how does this sound to you ?

Here is my eveluation of our transfer busness so far:

Fraser Forster - good signing 7/10

Ivan Perisic - very good signing (big quality and experience and for free!) 8/10

Yves Bissouma - superb signing (excellent fee not proportional to his quality) 10/10

Richarlison Andrade - weak signing and overpaid 4/10

Clermon Lenglet - weak singing (loan) 3/10

Djed Dpence - good singing (great fee) 9/10

7/10 so far, but Maddison and Torres could do mirracles!

Outgoings:

Bergwijn - good departure because player wanted it and also good free 9/10

Ndombele - still here?! 1/10

Lo Celso - still here ? 1/10

I hope Richarlison and Lenglet will be better than I valued them here and that those expected departures will bring some new exciting player in Spurs!

One more thing for the end. Djed is old word in Serbian language meaning grandpa and there are adages in our languge like "Bez starca nema udarca" (there is no hit without an old man) and song saying "Odi Dedi jer deda ce tebe da sredi" (come to grandpa because grandpa will fix/eliminate you)... I already see left wingers of other teams cumming to Djed to fix/eliminate them (read release them from ball).
