What a game that was, any football fan will agree. After a few normal or even boring games we finally get what we really want, a thrilling match.

SPAIN

Spain has been incredible throught the whole game, except the first 10 to 15 minutes when Portugal was giving them a hard time. I  think for what they have done they deserved more.

The key man for Spain in this match was clearly Diego Costa with his brace. The first one was very impressive and the second one came from a nice header assist from Sergio Busquets, actually, the first one was also thanks to Busquets long pass. He has been splendid!

I also think Isco and Nacho should get some recognition, as Isco was able to link up with the attackers all the time and remained dominant in midfield, he was also close to scoring a banger of a goal that nearly went in but only touched the goal line. Nacho for his excellent goal despite giving away an early penalty, which for me, it wasn't.

The dissapointing man is clearly David De Gea, as Portugal's second goal was more than save-able. However, I think he should not be criticised heavily as it will make him lose confidence and we know no matter what he is Spain's #1 by far.

PORTUGAL

Portugal didn't quite controlled the game as evidence having only 33% of the possession but they have been lethal with all 3 shots on target making it through De Gea's goal post.

There is only one key man it is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese scored a hat-trick which gives him 84 International goals. The third goal was impressive, just in the right time, the second one a bit lucky and the first one should have been non-existent.

I think Portugal played well but Spain dominated but in football is all about goals so possession, control and domination means nothing to scoring.

WHAT'S NEXT

Spain will now have to focus on the next match against Iran and they must win in order to maximise their chances to go through the next round, possibly as first but that will now depend in Portugal and how many goals they can score. I really enjoyed today's match, it was an absolute spectacle, Spain seems good to me and not affected by the managerial issue.

So, do you think Spain deserved to win? Was it a penalty? What was the best goal? Let me know in the comments!
