As I already announced, I would like to introduce the users, who were accompanied and voted by me during the seven days of each Scorum Patronage in some separate post.
For the first round of Scorum Patronage the community chose the user @fraste, which I consider to be an excellent choice.
Scorum Patronage is a project to support and motivate new and aspiring writers, and to help same to get some needed attention. You can read more about in in last week's nomination post:
https://scorum.com/en-us/scorum/@sport-frei/scorum-patronage-round-2-open-for-your-nomimations
@fraste has only been active at Scorum since this month, but he seems to have found his place immediately, enriching us daily with informative and original contributions from the world of sport.
He himself comes from the Netherlands but now lives in Sofia, Bulgaria. The neighbor country of my homeland has always been crazy about sports and also very successful.
For me it was a pleasure to plunge into his sports world, which seems to consist not only of football, but a whole lot more.
In the seven articles I voted for, he had touched on a wide range of topics, and he always convinces with well-researched background knowledge, which he smoothly integrates into his articles. This can be seen especially in his article about the Belgian-Dutch animosities in Cycle-Cross, which he of course described from the point of view of a Dutchman, but which seems to get to the heart of the matter very well.
I also liked the story about Usain the Dolphin Fish, which takes a completely different turn than you expected.
Very pleasant to read and in my eyes @fraste is a real enrichment for our growing and exciting sports blogging platform.
Especially helpful was his tutorial for our (surely soon) unbeatable BetScorum site. Even though we all move more or less gallantly through the world of sports, it doesn't mean that we are all familiar with the topic of sports betting. For my part, I am still a total beginner in this respect and would need a sports betting crash course before I throw myself headlong into misery.
That's why this article came just right and at the perfect time. Well explained and much to the point. Now I know where I can look up again if I have a question. Or whom I could also address directly personally if necessary, in order to perhaps explain something to me again.
But @fraste doesn't only write his own articles but also tries to contribute to the work of other users and to actively contribute to the discussion. It seems that somebody understood right from the beginning what is needed here and how our Scorum platform should work.
Great that we have you on board @fraste. As I noticed during the last week, you seem to have found your place here very quickly. I hope you remain so motivated and continue to provide us with such first class contributions.
And don't worry, even the first round of the Scorum Sponsorship is over, I will surely continue to visit your blog.
And I can only recommend to everyone to pay him as visit and check out what he has written and posted so far. As I said, it touches a wide range of topics he seems to know what he is writing about.
I will open the nominations for the 3rd round of Scorum Patronage on Thursday and I hope that many of you will join and recommend a new talented writer who needs some support. And even better you could show them some love yourself and visit some of the nominees' blogs to check out what they have to say.
Stay focused everyone and have a great week!
