Belgian Playoffs Week 6 Friday Match Preview

I'm looking forward to this weekend in the Belgian Jupiler League playoffs and already have 3 pre-game bets posted a couple of days ago. I was planning to add another one in this post, but odds dropped by -0.10 overnight making it no longer a play for me right now.

Antwerp vs Standard

This match is a direct fight for the 3rd place in the league and It might very well turn out in a real fight as both these teams can be quite physical. Standard Coach Preud'homme stated in the newspaper that Antwerp is a team that is very hard to play against and "patience will be key". I would highly be surprised to see a wide open start of the match and made the 1st Half under 1 @ 1.930 into my main bet. odds have gone up slightly still at 1.93 at Pinnaclesports but available at 1.97 on IBC bet which is one of the bookmaker options at my Betting Broker Sportmarket Pro. I would still take that if I was not already on it. I also got some Under 2.5 @ 1.98. Standard has conceded at least once in their last 13 matches but I'm not really too worried about that as the intentions have been more focussed on the defense. Antwerp played an annoying home match against Club Brugge last week and did not allow them in their play while what they created themselves was rather limited especially in the first half. The 2nd half was more offensive with a lot of corners and Antwerp overall played a good match deserving the 0-0 draw. Standard has not been spectacular during the playoffs but managed to take the needed points, also Mpoku right now is not in their best form and they still have missing pieces in the offense (Oularé & Sa). Antwerp being the -0.25 favorite at around even odds seems right to me. If standard somehow scores first it might become a much more open encounter. I might cover my position with an over bet if that happens and also go for more corners.
