Happy Moan Day PSG, Most Fans Never See That Coming As Well
If there is any club that needs to be encourage last week, i think it should be Paris Saint-German with the club shocking defeat to Rennes in their second ligue 1 game. It was really a shocking result most especially to bettors. Source PSG started their league campaign with a 3-0 win at home against Nîmes with Mbappé, Cavani and Di María all on target for the club in the absence on the club record signing Neymar who speculation surrounding his story says he wants to leave the club to re-join Barcelona the club he left for the French club some years back. That is really a good start for the club as they players comes together to prove it that no one is indispensable. PSG manager Thomas Tuchel also failed to name the Brazilian star man for the trip to Roazhon Park to face Rennes at home and this time around, it seems the player absence was really felt. Though the club will continues to thrive even if Neymar finally leave the club but i think as a manager, there is a way you can make your star man stay at the club. Conte pay for it while he was still at Chelsea when he failed to appreciate Costa effort. Even if Neymar is subjected to transfer issue, he can still play for the club until an agreement is reached Source It was such a great come back from Rennes because PSG was ahead in the game through Cavani before M'Baye Niang and Del Castillo goal sealed the maximum points for the host. Rennes were so organised at back and make things hard for PSG to breakthrough upfront. As far as ligue 1 is concern, the Parisians are the most successful club, they are still the reigning champion and for the last 10 years, Rennes only had 4 wins against the club and the win against them last week was the 5th times they will be defeating the Parisians. Rennes who is also the French cup holders started the game very well and with the likes of Mbappé, Cavani and Di María leading the front for PSG, they really knows they have to work harder in the game to stop them, yet they never allow that to distract their play as they were the strongest side in the first 30 minutes of the game before E. Cavani punished them for an error they committed in the box by Da Silva and Mbappé could have double the lead for the visitors before his shot hits the side of the net. Source The game was leveled in the 44 minutes when Niang drilled a power shot past PSG goal keeper Areola, he received a cross from Traore down the flank and score will a brilliant finishing and that brings the game to 1-1 at half time. The second half begins and Rennes looks desperate by possession, Camavinga and Del Castillo were both showing class and finally in the 48 minutes, the goal came through Del Castillo who headed in a cross from Camavinga to make it 2-1 for the host team. Both teams continues to create chances but it was Rennes who still look dangerous in the game. PSG could have come back in the game in the late minutes if only Neymar was in the game because Rennes were not too good in the additional minutes but at the end they got it right and that takes PSG to number 12 position on the log table with 3 points while Rennes continues their fine run with 6 points. To PSG Just like what the club captain said after game that; For everyone it's difficult, but it's not an excuse," he told Canal Plus television channel. "Neymar was not there. We must think of ourselves. I hope it's the last [defeat of the season]. We were not attentive," Silva added. "You have to raise your head, try to be better at the next game because it was not the Paris Saint-Germain that we know. The team need to raise their head and be better in their next game. Yes, this is not the PSG we all know that has been doing well in the league even before the arrival on Neymar and i think they can easily move on without him, all they need to do is to be attentive. Ligue 1 | Summer Transfer window #1
DISCLAIMER: Confirmed transfers or rumours that come out reliable sources ONLY (tier 1 - tier 2 + sports related regional newspapers in France). See that post on Reddit for compiled sources. "Tier 1 - Almost undisputed when discussing a Transfer Rumour. They may not be the first to discuss a rumour, but if they are talking about it; then it is almost certainly true, and possibly close to complete." Tier 2 - Known to have current sources, but are still fallible and just short of being considered an authority on rumour discussions. However, multiple individuals or sources from this tier reporting the same rumour may indicate a strong possibility of truth to the rumour. Tier 3 - Unreliable, and not to be trusted solo. They fall into near click-bait practices and are often fighting for relevance in a sea of rumours. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN No surprise, it's expected to be another turbulent summer for the capital side. According to Mohamed Bouhafsi via RMC Sport , beginning of june - Barcelona have made contact with PSG to discuss a possible deal for Neymar though declined by president Al-Khelaïfi. No concrete offer thus far. Unlike what has been reported - 19 years old goalkeeper of Chelsea, Marcin Bulka hasn't signed yet for PSG. Speaking of young talents, Raphaël Nya will sign a 3-years contract with Wolverhampton. He was captain of the u19 squad. Moussa Diaby signed to Bayer Leverkusen while RB Leipzig is interested in signing Christopher Nkunku. Paris United reports that Sevilla midfielder Pablo Sarabia is close to sign to PSG as Diaby’s replacement. LOSC LILLE The great season of LOSC has revealed many players, one is Nicolas Pépé who attracts the interest of several top clubs; Liverpool to name one. Transfer fee might be between 70M€ and 90M€. Olympique Lyonnais president himself confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Thiago Mendes might possibly join the club as Ndombélé's replacement for €25m fee. OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS Similar situation to PSG. OL is starting a new cycle with a new coach and sporting director - leading up to a few key players set to be leaving the club. The Guardian and RMC Sport have confirmed that Tottenham is interested/or made an offer for the Ndombélé. Yet no official statement has been released. Brazilian defensive midfielder Jean Lucas (ex Flamengo) was introduced at a press conference. He is expected to be a starter and Tousart as a backup. I'll cover the following clubs in #2 (Rennes, Saint-Étienne, Monaco, Montpellier and Nice). Stay tuned!
