7 days to go before the winter break and plenty of matches to cover from week 20 and week 21 in the regular season. My pre-game betting has been less sharp overall lately so I will be very selective when it comes down to these. Most teams have been extremely unreliable in their performances which currently makes it a lot harder to make actual predictions. It is always important to remember rule #1 in betting that is the key in making longer-term profit. "You Don't Have to Bet ". AA Gent vs Cercle Brugge
I backed AA Gent some weeks back at home against Eupen as the favorite. They won that match 2-0 and covered the handicap but did not really impress. They needed the opponents to get a red card mid 1st half and a late goal for that and failed to finish the game early. Against Charleroi last week they had all the possession and did not deserve to lose, but also created very little. Cercle Brugge is on my fade list with Lambot and Taravel missing in the defense but they did actually take the win against a poor Anderlecht that fired their coach afterward. Right now it seems everyone can win from everyone in this league. I'm not quite willing to blindly bet the underdogs at big odds though. I will mostly be keeping an eye out live if Cercle Brugge defense again looks very shaky to get in on Gent at a more favorable line. Gent played a mid-week match with their A-Squad qualifying against Stvv who did not really show up. Often this extra fatigue brings about a difficult 1st Half. No Pre-Game Bets
