I managed to get into a spot with some guaranteed profit yesterday on Anderlecht. The odds dropped a lot as expected after the b-squad line-up was released and I got a nice middle on Tranva +1 @ 2.20 & Anderlecht -1 @ 2.03 as planned. The match ended in a 0-0 draw with Anderlecht being the better team good for a 0.18 unit profit. These kinds of spots anticipating line movements are interesting and can be very profitable with a limited amount of risk, but they are quite hard to come by. The small pre-game bet on the over 2.5 in Genk also won, but my biggest position live on Genk -0.25 @ 1.862 (0-0 38') lost half after they scored only 4 minutes later and even made the 0-2 just to give that away in 3 minutes time afterwards. Overall pretty pleased with the betting action despite a tiny loss.
Lokeren vs AA Gent
I backed Lokeren last weekend as the home underdog and while they showed some good things against at times taking the early lead, they do seem unreliable over an entire match. Because of this, they are on my list of teams to stay away from pre-game now. AA Gent played 0-0 in their match against Antwerp and did not deserve more. I'm still not sold on this team especially against better opponents and even though I do see them winning tonight against Lokeren, the ~1.55 do not tempt me in any kind of way. If anything I would say Lokeren +0 @ 4.757 currently is the bet I would take with small stakes if my hand was forced. If however, Lokeren manages to be up at HT, I will likely take some on AA Gent to make a comeback in the 2nd half. Lokeren tends to give things away while Gent often manages to make a comeback. Early Week 17 Bets
Charleroi vs Cercle Brugge: I have taken some on the Under in this match. Cercle Brugge away often has lower scoring matches because of their more defensive playing style. Charleroi tends to still have quite boring matches and even though it has been quite frustrating betting the unders in their matches because goals often have come out of nowhere. The line has been set too high because of this in my view though and I have to take some splitting my stakes on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.21 & Under 2.75 @ 1.99
Anderlecht vs Racing Genk: The current gap in player quality and how they both play as a team is simply too large. Anderlecht is still without many injured players while Genk will be complete. The recent results (Loss vs Cercle & Draw vs Malmo) did not really reflect the level they reached. I have split my stakes between Racing Genk -0.25 @ 1.89 & Genk Team Total Over 1.5 @ 1.892 with some room to take more Live...
