The playoffs start tonight and I'm running a bit late to preview the first match. The playoffs are pretty much a new league (especially playoff 2) and it tends to have different dynamics compared to the regular league. Spotting the teams that get themselves in a hot streak during this short period is what I will be aiming to do.
Standard vs Antwerp
Standard will be complete for this match but they had 14 players away for Interland duty so it's very much a question mark if they will be ready with such a short preparation for this match. Last season they also started playoff 1 at home against the weakest team (Charleroi) which resulted in a 1-0 win. I'm expecting something similar today. Antwerp near the end of the regular season seemed to be a bit over their peak and I would be surprised if they did anything else than bring their usual defensive physical style of play in all playoff 1 matches. Especially against top teams even at home, they tend to first keep everything closed in the back and they are capable of doing so. I can not see this as an open encounter, Standard ended their season with a 4-3 match at home against Waasland Beveren but this is by no means a reference for the match today and I see the odds as overly influenced by this. They played very controlling against Cercle after taking the lead and Antwerp also is capable to keep a lead when they need to. Antwerp is 7W-3L on the Under 2.5 line during the regular season against Top teams and 5W-2P-3L on the Under 1 First Half line. I split my stakes between Standard vs Antwerp 1H Under 1 @ 1.884 & Standard vs Antwerp Under 2.5 @ 1.910 both with my Betting Broker Sportmarket Pro. I took some extra in BTC on 1H U1 @ 1.868 at Nitrogensports and tracked the Under 2.5 @ 1.880 on Blitzpredict. The under in corners is also on my radar but there are no odds yet.
