Not the best weekend so far. Things went quite as planned but I was too careful on my stakes. The match I increased them a bit on went wrong and I lost just shy of 1 unit yesterday. It's all still very much in range and my biggest bet on the Moeskroen team total has still to unfold. As usual 3 matches on Sunday...
Club Brugge vs Racing Genk
Both teams played their Europa League match on Thursday. Club Brugge played at home against Salzburg and took to surprise 2-1 Win while Genk Played away against Slavia Praha with a match that ended in a 0-0 draw. I talked about the entire Pozzuelo soap in the EL Previews post. He started on the bench and Genk again was not able to convince without him. The moment he came it everything pretty much turned around and he showed why he is of vital importance of this team. He is expected to play today but it's wise to wait for the final line-up. Club Brugge has been one of those teams that play good in Europe and rather bad in the league. I do not take the win over Salzburg as a reference in any way and still have my doubts on their overall form. The pitch is still in horrible shape but that has not stopped goals from being scored. A case can be made for both teams and the Draw No Bet line makes perfect sense to me. Club Brugge This should be an interesting match to watch live and there is no reason for me to get involved pre-game.
Antwerp vs Anderlecht
Both are teams that are not in their best form and show different faces during the match recently playing 1 good and 1 bad half. Both also are in the fight for Play-off 1 with Antwerp being 7 points clear of Anderlecht who share the 6th spot with AA Gent and Charleroi. Antwerp is generally quite good against top teams when it comes down to keeping things closed down in the defense and taking a point would not be a bad result in this match for them. I see this match in a way similar to Club vs Genk and a case can be made for both teams. I took a small pre-game position on Under 2.5 @ 1.94 just because Anderlecht has not been that convincing offensively an Antwerp is quite reliable when it comes down to their defense. I won't hesitate to hedge out of it if needed. This is also one of those matches where to back the team that falls behind. I will mostly look out for form swings in 1H-2H. One of them being the better team at some point might overly shift the odds just to see the opponents being a lot better later in the match.
Moeskroen vs Cercle Brugge
I already wrote about this match early this week taking Moeskroen Team Total Over 1.5 @ 1.892 and Over 2.5 @ 1.854. The odds dropped quite a bit overnight to 1.763 and 1.735 which is always a good sign. Being able to beat the closing line on the Asian markets pretty much guarantees profit over time. I will be following this one live and might take some extra on Moeskroen of the odds are right or in case they fall behind against play.
